Digestion – IBS, acid reflux, bloating, inflammation and poor gut health
Treatment Methods
Acupuncture: involves the insertion of ultra thin, sterile needles into carefully selected acupoints along your meridians (the channels your qi flows through).
Moxing: involves burning a dried herb stick (moxa) to warm the acupoints. It can be used either alongside acupuncture needles or on the acupoint itself.
Chinese Herbal Treatments: includes single herbs or combinations of herbs. Treatments are given as raw herbs, often to be boiled and consumed as tea or decoction, pre-made formulas in powder, pill or capsule form, or topical forms such as creams, ointments or poultices.
Cupping: art of using carefully placed glass cups and heat to create a suction, lifting the skin and superficial muscle layer.

At iSpine, we follow industry best practices for acupuncture hygiene to protect against the risk of infection. These include single-use sterilised needles, disinfecting the skin before insertion, regular handwashing, disposable gloves, and sanitised treatment tables.
We also take care to consider any of your personal sensitivities in our acupuncture treatments. Please inform us if you bruise easily, are prone to dizziness, have a pacemaker or are pregnant. Also tell us if you’ve had any negative experiences with acupuncture in the past. Knowing about your sensitivities helps us to provide you the safest, most comfortable and effective treatment.
Yes, our acupuncturists and Chinese herbalists have worked with women before, during and after pregnancy.
Acupuncture can be safe for pregnant women when performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner. Acupuncture may help alleviate common pregnancy discomforts such as nausea, back pain, and pelvic pain.
However, whether acupuncture is safe for your individual situation depends on a number of factors. Please contact us for a free consultation to discuss your condition.
Note: If you are or think you might be pregnant, it is essential for your safety that you tell us before we begin treatment.
This depends on your child’s condition, maturity, and ability to cooperate during treatment. Please contact us for a free consultation.
Acupuncture can be safe for children when performed by experienced practitioners who tailor their treatment to children’s smaller bodies and developmental stages. Acupuncture is often used to address various childhood ailments such as digestive issues, allergies, respiratory problems, and even emotional issues like anxiety.
As for Chinese herbal treatments, these will be administered in appropriate dosages, considering the child's age, weight, and health condition. Our treatments may address respiratory issues, skin disorders, digestive problems, immune function and more.
In all cases, our physiotherapists make sure to collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.

Especially if you have a condition that hasn’t responded well to other medical treatments, this ancient and holistic approach may be what your body needs.
Our treatments focus on promoting the body's natural healing abilities. While we treat specific issues, we aim to support your whole body’s system and use a holistic assessment of your wellbeing to inform our treatments.
